About The Artist
My name is Ashley Holden Pennesi, animal lover, artist, and owner of Off The Leash Pet Paintings.com! Born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland, I moved to Pittsburgh to attend college in 1999. I graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a BA in Graphic Design in 2003. Shortly after moving back to Maryland I met my husband Tony. A few years later we added our "fur-born" son Vinny, a Boston Terrier and in 2007 our son John Angelo was born. In early August of 2010 we welcomed our second son, Dante Antonio. I have been painting for many years, and I have always enjoyed drawing animals. I would love to have the chance to paint a portrait of your pet!
As an artist, I enjoy applying a unique style to all my work, giving portraits a vivid, living character that really makes them pop. My paintings and illustrations have been featured in Savage Tattoo magazine (global distribution) and have won first place in numerous competitions and gallery shows nation-wide.
